Cup Check Classic
A multi-page tournament website for the Cup Check Classic, an annual four-day hockey event in Albuquerque with five divisions from elite to entry-level. Built from scratch with a full site structure including home, schedule, sponsors, registration, and contact pages. Custom design, fully responsive, and built to grow with the tournament each season.

About me
Hi, I'm Melanie
I'm a freelance web developer. Websites, web apps, React components, full projects from scratch. If it lives in a browser, I can build it. I work directly with clients from first conversation to launch, and I stick around for maintenance when they want me to. Both of my current client relationships have been ongoing since their sites launched.
I have full-stack experience with Node.js, Express, SQL, and MongoDB, which means I can work across the whole project when needed and communicate clearly with backend developers. I have also been building with Tailwind CSS and Vite and enjoy how quickly I can ship polished interfaces with those tools.
Outside of client work I build personal projects to keep my skills sharp and explore new technologies. I enjoy taking on projects that solve real problems, whether that is for a client or just for myself.
Most of my work is freelance and contract projects for small businesses, startups, and individuals, but I'm comfortable with larger organizations too, and I'm open to part-time or full-time roles for the right team. If you need a developer, reach out and let's talk.
