About me
Hi, I'm Melanie
I'm a freelance web developer. Websites, web apps, React components, full projects from scratch. If it lives in a browser, I can build it. I work directly with clients from first conversation to launch, and I stick around for maintenance when they want me to. My current client relationship has been ongoing since the day their site launched.
I have full-stack experience with Node.js, Express, SQL, and MongoDB, which means I can work across the whole project when needed and communicate clearly with backend developers. I have also been building with Tailwind CSS and Vite and enjoy how quickly I can ship polished interfaces with those tools.
Outside of client work I build personal projects to keep learning. My guitar trainer app started as a tool I wanted for myself and turned into a proper React and TypeScript project I am proud to show. That is the kind of developer I am. I build things because I genuinely enjoy it.
Most of my work is freelance and contract projects for small businesses, startups, and individuals, but I'm comfortable with larger organizations too, and I'm open to part-time or full-time roles for the right team. If you need a developer, reach out and let's talk.
